Social Security

Social security is a network of public and private insurance programs that helps people and their families who are unable to support themselves due to illness, disability, old age, or any number of other factors. Although employers are required to provide employees with benefits at the end of their employment, the UAE does not have a mandatory social security system. The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) is Saudi Arabia's mandatory social security system. Employees and their families can take advantage of GOSI's pension, disability, and survivor benefits. In Kuwait, there is a required government managed retirement framework called the Public Establishment for Federal retirement aide (PIFSS). Employees and their families can take advantage of PIFSS's pension, disability, and survivor benefits.
